{Wild} Money Monologues

June 6 @ 7:30 pm9:00 pm

| $18

June 6 +7, 2014 7:30 pm

You are invited to an evening of capturing the truth about the way our money stories have shaped us.

Have you ever wanted to ask questions related to money but have held your tongue because it’s “not proper”?

Are you holding shame, guilt, or regret around decisions you made in the past that affected your money situation, and have never told anyone about the experience?

Or do you feel successful in how you handle your money, but can’t talk about it because it feels like boasting?

There are pains we hold onto within the isolation of our selves that dissipate on hearing a similar story told out loud.

Through the deeply personal and authentic stories told by the eight performers you can share in the loss, betrayal, resilience, conflict, revelation, and reflection of their money stories transforming a piece of your own.

{Wild} Money Monologues seeks to open the conversation and explore money from the inside out.

You will meet Rivkah, whose grandparents gave her the gift of saving through bringing wonder to the process.

Amy reflects on the series of events that resulted in losing her career, home and friendships, leaving her making less money in her mid-forties than she made at 17 years old.

Shoba tells of losing 4 cents when she was eight and how her father¹s distrust impacted her for decades.

Coping with student loan debt and a medical crisis forced Rachel to examine her priorities and her financial practices.

Pearl explores the conflict between working a JOB and making a living doing what she loves.

Local performers include Rivkah Coburn, Adrianne Gunn, Shoba Satya, Rachel Dominguez-Benner, Amy Dier, Pearl Waldorf, Derianna Mooney, and Luna Jaffe.

You are in for a night of many emotions.

Humor and sorrow show up side-by-side. We will move from isolation to solidarity as each woman bares a money story from her life that could shame or heal, the choice is yours.

For audience members who want even more interactivity, you will have the chance to work through a mini-workshop after the performance to unearth a money story from your own life.

Advance tickets are required.

It is one of my greatest dreams to help women around the world heal their relationship with money. I want you to know (maybe for the first time) that your creativity is an asset in this healing process.
